Covey is a senior at Charleston Charter School for Math + Science with a GPA of 4.1.​ She is the Libero for the CCSMS Riptide.

As an avid volleyball player, Covey has attended several camps to improve her athletic skills and her volleyball awards include the 2023 All-Conference Coaches' Award, given to one player and voted on by the region's coaches.​
